The arrival of the rainy season is a part of nature’s beauty, while on the other hand, it is also a symbol of warning. As much as nature displays its beauty, it can also bring unexpected dangers. The coming of the rainy season serves as a warning from nature. In many places, rainfall can take a severe form, leading to storms, floods, and other disasters.
Being aware before the rain comes is not only necessary but also our responsibility. Excessive rainfall increases waterlogging, which in turn raises the spread of diseases such as dengue and malaria. In many areas, poor drainage systems create difficulties in movement and increase the risk of accidents.
Therefore, it is important to take some measures before the rainy season begins. From the government’s side, drains should be cleaned, proper water drainage systems should be established, and damaged roads should be repaired. In addition, we should keep our surroundings clean so that water does not accumulate. Drains and canals should be cleaned regularly so that water can flow out easily.
During floods or excessive rainfall, care must be taken to avoid accidents. Every year, we see that just 30 minutes to an hour of continuous rain is enough to flood different areas of the city and make daily life difficult. To reduce such suffering during the rainy season, a combined effort by the government, administration, and the general public is essential.
